Chief Poleway was appointed to the Larchmont Police Department in 1994 as a police officer.
He was promoted to the rank of Detective in 2001, subsequently assigned as Youth Officer.
In 2002 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, serving as a patrol supervisor until his promotion to Lieutenant in February, 2008. He was assigned as Detective Commander and served in that capacity until August, 2008 when he was promoted to the rank of Chief of Police.
Chief Poleway holds a Bachelor Degree from C.W. Post/Long Island University in Criminal Justice, a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Marist College, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
