Chief Stephen Rubeo is a local resident of the Village of Larchmont. He is married to his wife Denise and their son Stephen is serving actively as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. Chief Rubeo is also a veteran of the Marine Corps and entered Law Enforcement in early 1979. He joined the Larchmont Police in 1982 after being trained as part of the NYPD in the New York City Police Academy and has risen through the ranks of Police Officer, Detective, Sergeant and Lieutenant. The Chief possesses a Juris Doctorate Degree from Pace Law School having actively practiced law from 1993 to 2001. His undergradute degrees are in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. He served as an Adjunct Professor in the Criminal Justice Department at Westchester Community College from 1994 to 1996 and still presently teaches at the Westchester County Multi-jurisdictional Police Academy where his  instruction focuses on law-related courses such as Court Structure and adjudicatory processes for incoming recruits up through Civil Rights Law and statutory and constitutional liability for police supervisors. He designed and implemented Moot Court training programs for the NY/NJ Port Authority Police Academy . Some of the highlights of his advanced training are:
